Did you know that FCC Emergency Connectivity Funding is available now to help schools and libraries get connected?

The FCC Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) is available now to help U.S. schools and libraries provide tools and services to enable remote learning in their communities.

Eligible products and services include laptops or tablets, Wi-Fi hotspots, modems, routers, broadband services, licenses, private networks (if applicants can demonstrate that there are no available service options), and installation and configuration services if provided by the same vendor.

This represents a wonderful opportunity for you to help close the homework gap with Sierra Wireless Solutions. Currently 17 million U.S. students lack broadband access at home. We have the experience, portfolio, and customer references to support this initiative to enable remote learning.

The application filing window is from June 29, 2021, to August 13, 2021.

We recommend the following solutions (with or without Wi-Fi) for libraries and schools applying for the ECF:

  • For individual remote learning: LX40 with AirLink Complete

  • For private networking use cases: RV55 CBRS Bundle

  • For multi-user Wi-Fi, such as school buses: XR80 with AirLink Complete
