Derrick Austin welcomed as VP of Human Resources
Future Technologies Venture, LLC (“Future Technologies”) welcomes Derrick Austin as our Vice President of Human Resources. Derrick is a seasoned Human Resources (HR) leader with a proven history of driving organizational excellence through strategic people management, utilizing effective change management methodology. With 20+ years of experience in HR, he brings an in-depth body of knowledge and a results-driven approach to the table.
Prior to joining Future Technologies, Derrick held key HR leadership roles in multiple industries where he spearheaded initiatives in talent acquisition, employee development, leadership development programs, process engineering, HR strategy, HR systems implementation/optimization and organizational culture transformation.
In his role as VP, Human Resources, Derrick is responsible for HR strategy development, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management and compliance. He is very passionate about fostering a positive work environment and empowering employees to reach their full potential.
As a thought leader in the HR community, Derrick actively contributes to industry forums, conferences, and HR roundtables. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Tougaloo College, graduate school at Clark Atlanta University and stays abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the field of Human Resources.
Outside of work, Derrick enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. He is committed to leveraging his expertise to drive organizational success and create a workplace culture where every individual can thrive.
