Hardware Design Engineer for Bell Northern Research (BNR) who were later rolled into Nortel

Career highlight you’re most proud of?

Tough question as there have been a few “highlights” over the years. One in particular stands out is I was working for Nortel and received a Leadership/Role Model award. I had no idea I was even nominated and the award was presented at one of Nortel’s big company events in Atlanta, GA by the CEO at the time in John Roth. Something I will never forget as I was completely shocked/surprised.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

‘Be honest and transparent with everyone you meet’ … a close second would be ‘You will get further with sugar than salt’
